Booking & Deposits
How far in advance should I book party rentals in Western MA?
For peak season events (May through September), we recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance. June graduation weekends in Westfield, Springfield, Chicopee, Holyoke, and surrounding communities fill up as early as April. Saturdays in July and August also book out quickly. For last-minute or same-week requests, call (413) 552-6688 directly — since we are based in Westfield, we can often accommodate short-notice bookings that companies farther away cannot.
Do I need a deposit to reserve party rentals?
Yes. A deposit is required to reserve your rental equipment and remove it from our inventory for your event date. Deposit amounts range from 30% to 100% depending on the size of your order. Deposits are non-refundable because the equipment is held exclusively for your event once booked. However, deposits can be applied toward a rescheduled party date within 30 months if you reschedule at least 48 hours before your event.
Are deposits refundable if I cancel?
Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be applied toward a new party date within 30 months as long as you notify us at least 48 hours before your original event. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the full deposit. Once a rental item has been delivered, no refunds are given. Once an item has been picked up, no refunds are given.
What happens to my rental if it rains?
New England weather changes fast! If rain is forecast for your event, you may reschedule by Wednesday at 12pm for Saturday events or Thursday at 12pm for Sunday events. Your deposit can be applied to a new available date within 30 months. Many inflatables have built-in roofs that keep the jumping area dry in light rain. For heavy rain or high winds, inflatables must be shut down for safety. Tent rentals continue to provide excellent shelter through rain — a great reason to add a tent to your order!

Delivery, Setup & Pickup
Does Day and Night Party Rentals deliver and set up the equipment?
Yes — every rental includes professional delivery, setup, and next-day takedown. Our trained crew handles all assembly, staking, anchoring, and inflation. You do not need to do any setup or takedown yourself. These are true all-day rentals — equipment is delivered in the morning and picked up the following day. Party as long as you want with no hourly limits.
When will my rental be delivered?
We provide a 3-5 hour delivery window a few days before your event. Many Saturday events are delivered on Friday when possible, giving you extra time to enjoy the equipment. Our delivery crew texts you when they are on the way. Pickup is scheduled for the morning after your event. For specific timing needs, call (413) 552-6688 when booking.
What should I do to prepare for my delivery?
Before our crew arrives please: (1) Mow the setup area and remove debris, rocks, and sharp objects. (2) Clean up all pet waste from the lawn. (3) Ensure gates and access paths are at least 3-4 feet wide. (4) Identify a power outlet within 75 feet of the setup area. (5) For tent rentals, mark any underground sprinkler heads or utility lines in the staking area. (6) For water slides, have a garden hose and water source nearby. Our crew will review the area on arrival.
Can I pick up rental equipment myself?
Yes! Pick-up specials are available for customers who can transport their own items from our Westfield MA warehouse at 321 N Elm St. Pick-up specials offer our deepest discounts — significantly cheaper than delivered pricing. Do bounce houses need electricity?
Yes. All inflatables require a continuous power supply to run the blower that keeps them inflated. A standard 110-volt household outlet within 75 feet of the setup area is sufficient. We also offer generator rentals for events where power outlets are not conveniently accessible — add a generator to your order when booking or call (413) 552-6688.
How many kids can use a bounce house at one time?
Capacity varies by size: standard bounce houses accommodate 6-8 children, combo units accommodate 4-6 children, and XL Castle units accommodate 8-10 children. We follow MA OPSI state safety guidelines for all inflatable operation. Our crew reviews capacity guidelines with you at setup. Children should always be supervised by an adult while using any inflatable.
Can bounce houses be set up indoors?
Yes, in some cases. Smaller bounce houses can be set up in gymnasiums, community centers, and large indoor spaces with ceiling height of at least 16-20 feet and adequate floor space (minimum 15x15 foot footprint for standard units). Do tents protect from rain?
Yes. Our commercial-grade frame tents provide excellent protection from rain, sun, and wind. They are constructed with heavy-duty steel frames and waterproof UV-resistant canopies. Optional sidewalls are available for additional wind and rain protection. Tent rentals are especially popular for Western MA graduation parties and backyard weddings because of New England's unpredictable weather. Safety & Certifications
Is Day and Night Party Rentals licensed and insured?
Yes — fully. We hold MA OPSI (Massachusetts Office of Public Safety and Inspections) certification, carry full commercial liability insurance, operate DOT certified delivery vehicles, and employ CORI-checked staff. We are one of the very few party rental companies in all of Western Massachusetts to hold MA OPSI certification. Many competitors operating in the region do not.
What is MA OPSI certification and why does it matter?
MA OPSI stands for Massachusetts Office of Public Safety and Inspections. Massachusetts state law requires commercial inflatable operators to hold OPSI certification involving safety compliance for all inflatable equipment. Day and Night Party Rentals is one of the very few party rental companies in Western MA to hold this certification. Many competitors do not — which may violate Massachusetts regulations and void liability protection at school or public events. Always ask your rental company for proof of OPSI certification before booking.
Do you provide Certificates of Insurance (COI)?
Yes — at no charge. COI certificates are issued free for all schools, churches, parks, HOAs, venues, and organizations in Western MA and Northern CT. Typically provided within one business day. How do you clean and sanitize your equipment?
Every bounce house, water slide, obstacle course, and inflatable is commercially sanitized using professional-grade cleaning agents after every single rental — no exceptions. This is a full commercial sanitization protocol, not a quick wipe-down. Every surface is cleaned and treated between rentals. Do you deliver party rentals to schools and churches in Western MA?
